Why Orchid Root?
Orchids are epiphytes, which means they “derive their nutrients from air and rain and usually grow on other plants” – so, the soil isn’t their natural home. The metaphor is simple: it takes different ways to nurture growth, and sometimes we need to shift perspective to ensure our efforts thrive.
This message manifests in the individualized, relationship-based approach I bring to strategy work and organizational change. I take pride in designing and implementing inclusive and collaborative processes that uplift diverse voices across communities and embrace new approaches, perspectives, and ideas.
I listen and engage with partners and stakeholders from a place of empathy. I value the assets and attributes each constituent brings to the table, and the qualities that help us solve complex problems together in pursuit of common goals. Stemming from my experiences to date, I firmly believe it is the ethos and action of caring that ignites and sustains meaningful change.
